The fucking hubris of level 1 trainers is fucking amazing. I offered a local guy 2 little cues for doing a proper deadlift to help with his trainees and he wanted to argue with me but thought better of it. I've literally seen women who were too weak to jump on on to a fucking bench and yet they were doing high rep box jumps, turning on the box/bench, and jumping off backwards combined with the worst fucking burpees known to man. Jeezus! Fucking belly flopping, no push up, and about a 1/2 inch jump.

I've see more and more strong fit guys gettinig slowly turned into fucking twinks after taking up @fit. The sad fucking thing is they are doing the gawddamned main page bullshit. I may have turned one former meathead on to @fit foosball but we'll see.

That being said the L1 trainer is surrounded by housewife pussy in every class. I share the room with them so if he gives me too much shit I'm going to rat his ass out to HQ for not being affiliated and running a @fit class out of health club.

I never played in the MLB but I'm pretty sure I did plenty of drills: top and bottom hand swings off the tee, timing the step and loading the hands, squashing the bug, etc. Same went with throwing.
But you did them in a way that connected to the total movement, no? That trainer may as well argue leg presses and seated rows are good skill drills for rowing.

I did that stuff when I was a younger player... when I got to American Legion ball that wasn't something any of us did.

The swing is one unit, when you get to a certain level you just practice the whole unit unless you are either changing something or you are in a slump.

Same with the golf swing.

She was going to net $16 million to sell all interest in Crossfit to Anthos, she got the same exact amount from Greg. And this was a significantly better deal than Crossfit's original, drawn-out-payment-plan offer. Not sure how that's losing. Although she didn't get to give a final fuck-you to Greg by sticking him with Anthos, so I suppose there is that.

Final Tally:
Lauren lost some legal fees, but not much else.
Greg is out the legal fees and has a $16 million loan to deal with.
Anthos just has the legal fees.
Incredible analysis. Do we owe you for your breaking it down?

There's some stuff about learning motor skills in Siff's Supertraining, and your point about drilling the whole movement once you've attained a certain level of skill is on point, IIRC. But I forgot that nobody ever learned anything from books, and that Couch read Supertraining but couldn't udnerstand it. Thus, it must be a dumb book.

Way to go, Asshole, you just gave Dr. Yessis a fatal heart attack.

Explosive Running by Yessis might be second on the list after Renegade Training for Football as the most useless training book I've purchased.

I went to a seminar he gave with Verkoshansky teleconferencing in. It was truly, truly painful.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I don't get these people. They take a video of a power snatch that lasts a full minute , as if the weight or the technique were something to marvel at.

Because when you understand that the majority of folks have never seen this stuff and are easily impressed, you can impress the majority of folks by simply deciding to be impressed with yourself.

If even half the guys on this board decided to be impressed with themselves, we'd have a mighty empire indeed.

This is perhaps one of the most insightful things about CrossFit I've seen.

My favorite 6' tall, blond, bolt-on-tittayed Swedish porno chic Puma still seems to be doing it ... :-( When I told her her legs were too thin and she needed barbell squats while I was trolling her on Instagram, I didn't mean "Try CrossFit."

Jeez. A 135 lb power snatch. By a guy who probably weighs 180. Yes, horrible form. I have a 120 lb girl who can do that. Without jumping like a cheerleader.

I wasn't going to watch it. But, I couldn't help it. I'm getting more impressed with myself. Watch out.
