Reminds me of a hill in PA

I'm almost positive that is the State Street jump in Omaha Nebraska. I jumped that many a times with friends as a young idiot at well over 100mph. A lot of people died jumping it often losing control and hitting the trees at the bottom. It is pretty stupid to do. Risk/Reward is way off...Risk=everything...Reward=3 seconds of fun and bragging rights.

I think all high schoolers know of a similar hill near them. Ours was literally a mile from the school. Ours was a steeper drop, so you could get some air at ~60mph.

One day we were going to hit the hill and went over in my friend's VW GTI. I was in the passenger's seat, one guy was in the back seat, and another dude was sitting cross-ways in the hatch so he could shoot the super soaker at the other car full of idiots behind us.

Shot over the top at ~70. Huge land yacht was coming up the other side. My friend jerked the wheel to the right, sending us straight into the right hand ditch when we got traction again. Over corrected and shot us across the road spinning into the left hand ditch. Right front bumper clipped a tree, which spun us immediately backwards into the next tree. Probably going 50 when we hit the tree. Guy in the hatchback had both femurs wrapped around the tree. Guy in the back seat had a busted head from hitting the window. I had massive bruises on my back from being slammed backwards into the seat. Same for the guy driving, except the pull-out radio he had flew out and hit him in the face. Swallowed a front tooth and the volume knob.

Still don't know how we survived that shit.

Yep, had a group of kids I knew in high school hit a tree about 10' off the ground on one of these hills shortly after graduation. None of them made it. It is amazing how many of us survive into adulthood.
