Re: Right now I'm drinking
I had a couple of these this week. The label looked like a joke to me but it was a very good bitters

I haven't seen that one. I thought all the Great Lakes products were available in my area (SE Pa.).DrDonkeyLove wrote:I had a couple of these this week. The label looked like a joke to me but it was a very good bitters

Never mind. Wrong GL brewery. I was thinking of the one in Cleveland.
Re: Right now I'm drinking
Sam Adams recently is selling in my area twelve packs labelled "hopology" consisting of variations of styles expressed as IPAs. I'm here to tell you "Grumpy Monk" is worth sampling. An abbey style hopped like an IPA , it works really well.

Wine. I'm drinking wine. Where do I get it? From this site, which is the #$%-ing schnizzle for wine shopping.

Wines 'Til Sold Out. If you sign up, they send you email alerts throughout the day. They sell one bottle until sold out, then move on to the next. Some raging good deals. Free shipping above some number (between 2-4 usually). And they ship to Pennsylvania, which I thought was illegal but they do it anyway. Cool! My doc turned me onto it...he swears by it. I do too now.

Don’t believe everything you think.
Re: Right now I'm drinking
Bought a 12 pack of this when it was on sale at my local supermarket a week and a half ago. At first turned my nose up at it because its not as hoppy as Dale's. But the more I've had it over the last several days the more I've liked it, and I can see why its a classic. Still prefer Dale's and SN's Torpedo, but I have to admit this is a solid beer.
Re: Right now I'm drinking
Decent. I just picked up a case last week. Good standby daily quaffing beer.

Tonight had:

This is just an incredible IPA. Had one of these, then:

If you haven't tried Dale's, you're missing out.

Please assure me that IGx'ers do not get drunk off of beer. I realize I've been damned with the tolerance of a bull elephant with an alpha rhino for back-up, but me aside, none of the males I hang out with can get bombed from beer....none of the white ones, anyway.DrDonkeyLove wrote:I have not tried Dale's and will keep an eye out.davidc wrote:<null>

beer is a restorative

It's actually very good if you like stouts. It's one of the less crazy of the DFH concoctions.davidc wrote:How is it?johno wrote:

To clarify, the "handle with care" warning applies to Oskar Blues' Ten Fidy, which is 10.5% alcohol. It's more than double the ABV of most regular beers. It tastes great, so you want to drink it fast...hence the warning.High Velocity Lie-Nap! wrote:Please assure me that IGx'ers do not get drunk off of beer. I'm actually more of a red wine drinker, I've just been on a craft beer kick for about a year. I'm not much of liquor guy.
Re: Right now I'm drinking

One of my favorites. Had it with sausage and sour kraut tonight. Awesome.

One of the best stouts I've had in a while.
Then:

Even better than Dale's (and its the same price).
It's like a combo of Dale's and Allagash White.
