I should have snapped some pics as I drove by some of these doing their "elite" jogs around the block today.

I suppose firefighters training in their personal protective equipment gives the workout some sort of gravitas. But for fucks sake, there's nothing at risk. The gym certainly isn't on fire, it isn't superheated or filled with smoke and everyone is going to just be tired for the effort.ButterCupPowerRanch wrote:Because you're gay.Dan Martin wrote:Why wear an airpack and not use it?POD wrote:Steve Rakow gave me a lot of help with starting an LLC in Maryland. As for disparaging Coach, that is unfair. Coach is one of the more gracious people I've ever met. If you disagree with him, though, back up your position with facts and not attacks. If your way turns out to produce a more well rounded athlete, then CF will probably adopt that method.
The wall ball is one of the few exercises that rivals the stupidity of the med ball clean. Not even Jim Cawley likes the way CFers uses his med balls and his business must have exploded along with CF.
Since those safety ensembles cost a couple of thousand dollars each, the taxpayer would be better served if those tools just wear a couple of pair of sweats and a weighted vest.

Listen, XF and ex-XF lurking shit lickers.
You HAVE to email or PM Mario or contact another IGx member who'll do it for you. This is simply an easy way to cut down on the spammers who occasionally infest the board.
It is NOT your right to come and post lame ass shit on IGx because the owner of your affiliate shorted you 3 seconds on your last Fran attempt.

No.
It gives these shitheads no such thing. All it does is make them look retarded. "Specialized" scenario and skill training in full gear is what will make those guys better firemen. Throwing a ball against the wall is grounds to get their fucking heads kicked in. Period. Lift some fucking weights, run, jog, or whatever...or don't. I don't give a fuck. But these assholes over head squatting ladders and axes, or whatever queer shit gets them on the XF mainpage HAS to stop...go fuck yourselves.

Bravo!
I find ironical considering the high levels of faggotry and dikes on that site.
Update: It looks like it stopped. That was weird.

Re: The couch thread
It is now near impossible to keep up with this thread and maintain steady employment. Still, I continue to scan the thread and continue to see misguided legal notions. For purposes of education and not legal advice, a few points to keep things straight. Anyone considering legal action should not rely on this, and should consult a lawyer knowledgable in federal laws and the laws of your state.
1. A franchise tax has nothing to do with franchising. It's the tax any business pays to do business in a state.
2. There is a federal and many state laws on franchising and business opportunities. Definitions differ. If a company fits the definition, but isn't complying with the disclosure and registration laws (this adds real cost to a business), the company risks government investigation and (perhaps though subject to lots of stuff) your affiliates of the system can sue for rescission to get back all money they paid going back as far as the statute of limitations. Many times affiliates can force the seller to pay the affiliate's attorneys fees.
3. The federal definition of a franchise turns partly on control. That's a very gray area, and anyone banking on it is a gambler.
4. If a company chooses not to control the buyers of its mark, the company also run the risk of what is known as a naked license, which can involve losing the rights to its mark. The trademark laws protect companies, but the primary thrust is consumer protection. So, for example, when Andy76 buys Depends, he's entitled to expect they will be of the same quality they've been over the last 5 or 6 years he's used them. The same is true with buying products from McDonalds or services from H&R Block. If there is no quality control, the license is known as "naked" and the mark is not entitled to protection. This issue could arise if some disgruntled affiliate is terminated, keeps the mark, and essentially says "sue me" and I'll do my best to prove you've lost protection of the mark. This approach does have risks, though, as the trademark enforcement law, which is the Lanham Act, provides for attorneys fees in egregious circumstances.
5. Another contradiction coming from no control is setting up a risk-retention group, which is a self-insured company. If there's no quality control over who can buy insurance, the group would be uninsurable in the ordinary insurance market as the underwriter would not be able to asess the risk and exposure. Insuring a group with no quality control, and boasting "millions for defense, but not a penny for tribute," is a sure recipe for disaster.
6. The RRG could begin to crumble when people start demanding back their initial investment. Nomally sales of shares of any entity are highly controlled. There's a written document that is very clear and that states all the risks and only designated people are designed to sell or promote and they are very careful in what they say. If you don't do it this way, the promoter and all those involved in selling risk being sued under common law and state misrepresentation statutes for fraud or misrepresentation for rescission. Attorneys fees and punitive damages are available as remedies.

This crossfit motherfucker came to our class and spittin all this shit....he brought this fat black dude client to go up there and say he was good and shit it was soo lame.
He was the most pretentious motherfucker ever. I walked out on him but I should have stayed and told him he was a jerkoff, crossfit ohhh oh shit... lift weights and do bodyweight shit and get really tired all in one workout and combining it all. Kipping pullups are fucking retarded and is other shit they do.
I wanted to full depth pistol squat puch his ass in the face. HHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH ok, I wont let this fucker annoy me....I hate motherfuckers like this...it gives me passion to keep getting better.
Nothing we didn't already know, mind you.Crossfit can be really pretentious. They think they are the be all end all of strength and conditioning.
Alot of their training methods are foolish and dangerous. They call that "hardcore".

You had to compete or at least train in gymnastics to have an accident there.

After some testing I can say are definitely redirecting links to the crossfit boards that come from IGX to meatspin.Stillwater wrote:Are anyone else's links from IGX to crossfit.com getting redirected to meatspin.com?

The solution to this is simple. Copy and paste the link in a new window or if your using firefox you can disable the referer link.
Code: Select all
Firefox disabling referrer and privacy settings
Here is an easy fix. Type “About:Config” without quotes into your browser header and Filter “Referer” without quotes. Now, change the boolean value to 0.

If you use IE as your browser, a quick GIS shows this potential fix. I can't say for sure if it works or not though, so...
Disable Referrer for Internet Explorer
This can be done from the computer's Control Panel > Internet Options, or from within the browser Tools > Internet Options.
1. Click Security.
2. Click Trusted Sites then Sites.
3. Add your website address in the box provided and click Add.
4. Uncheck the box that requires https verification.
5. Click the Privacy tab (Medium is an acceptable setting on the slider, but click Sites and again enter your website address)/
6. Now click Allow.
7. Click Apply.
