Drink beer, be lazy and unwind your tight ass attitude and enjoy the music. Wednesday when you get to the gym adopt a new routine.

We're planning a trip up to VT this summer while my wife is on her summer break. Going to take my bike and ride around during the day and then DESTROY some food at night. I'm making a special trip out to Ben and Jerry's in Waterbury just to see if I can take down that gallon of ice cream challenge after a long ride. Also going to hit every brew pub I pass like it was my fucking job.
Vacations are for getting away from the rigid bullshit that grinds away at your soul during your regular life. If you can't live like a king on vacation, stay the fuck at home.
Some family friends owned a high end bike shop for 20+ years. In the summers they'd vacation in France, biking cross-country from one two-star+ Michelin Guide Inn to the next, where each night they would feast. They sure as fuck weren't eating Paleo.

In preparation for vacation I deliberately over-train so that I have no reason (other than OCD) to train.

Chris Mason offers a program designed for CrossFitters who want to improve their deadlifts without compromising overall fitness.
CrossFit and a big deadlift … .
Thus far, we have not seen too many competitive CrossFit athletes with a big pull. I firmly believe this relates to how CrossFitters normally attempt to integrate strength training with their CrossFit programming. The purpose of this article is to provide an effective alternative that will both build your deadlift and improve your overall CrossFit performance.
I suppose one’s interpretation of a “big pull” can vary quite significantly. I come from a powerlifting background, but I am not expecting CrossFitters to become the record-holding deadlifters in their respective weight classes. It’s obviously not realistic to expect a good CrossFitter to pull 800-plus lb., but I do think it’s realistic that we should see a lot more 550-plus-lb. pulls from the men and 350-plus-lb. pulls from the women.

Overheard at an @fit box today:
"LEOs and tactical people need stress innoculation."
And then, there was this:
That's a glock. He's about to attempt a kipping muscle up or some shit that resulted in the gun coming loose from his waistband and landing on the floor.

The whole fitness industry needs to calm the fuck down with LEO-oriented fitness. It's all horse shit.Jezebel Jones wrote:Overheard at an @fit box today:

Here's a beginner super tactical LEO program:
Beginner (i.e. Can't see dick when looking down)
-Look up walk/run program on internet and do it.
-Lift 3xweek. Doesn't matter how. Check out Bill Pearl's Getting Stronger
-Find a sport/activity you like and do it. Substitute sports days for as many of the above that you want.
-Eat better.
If you're concerned about pullups to scale fences and the like, you're not a LEO.

Just like the confusion over barbells for building conditioning instead of strength, shouldn't LEOs get their stress in actual drills and on the job rather than in the weight room?Jezebel Jones wrote:Overheard at an @fit box today:

Back in my filthy pork product days I had to take an emergency poop. So I sat my glock on the toilet paper dispenser. Well I finished my business and as I buckled my gun belt I knocked my glock off the dispenser. I immediately did some crazy matrix like contortionist shit to get away from the barrel of that gun. Last time I did that dumbshit.

Waiting for Glassman and other XFers to say that @F factored significantly in the death of Osama.

The entire team of SEALs did nothing but the WOD for 6 months straight. No trigger time, No planning, and they didn't even wear high speed tacticool gear. Just the WOD, knee high socks, board shorts, and a wallet chain.

If Shoreline does, you can almost guarantee that they'll misspell "operator."Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Waiting for Glassman and other XFers to say that @F factored significantly in the death of Osama.

The funny thing is, the only way @fit could only have played a factor in OBL death is if Al Queda had adopted @fit as their official PT program.WildGorillaMan wrote:If Shoreline does, you can almost guarantee that they'll misspell "operator."Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Waiting for Glassman and other XFers to say that @F factored significantly in the death of Osama.
