This is your second post of insult and insinuation. Could you please tell us whether you're trolling and baiting, or if you're actually a genuine and honest individual who just "accidentally" keeps coming across as a troll?

If the former, please try harder not to use such hostile language ("unhinged groupthink", "HQ Staff, along with Coach Glassman, are engaging in a deliberate attempt to devalue the business (in dollar terms) in an attempt to poison the well vis-à-vis Lauren Glassman's attempt to sell her 50% to a private equity firm. How is this not either a breach of Greg Glassman's fiduciary duties or at the very least tortious interference?").

If the latter, we'll happily show you the door.

Thank you.

Sorry if I was unclear. It's not easy to keep track of who's mentally impaired in the Couch thread.

The post I was responding to said: "high six figures, low seven." That indicates a range where the low end is ~$700k. No one outside of the Glassmans is making that kind of $.
Plus do you have any idea what Glassman makes off @fit? I can assure you it's well over 6 figures. Well over.
Which no one has disputed.

I have no idea on the date of this, just found it:
http://www.warisbusiness.com/profiles/crossfit/
Annual revenue: $8,000,000
No. of employees: 24
The Reebok sponsorship deal is rumored to be $100 million over 10 years, so this is probably long out-of-date.

Ah, Lynne..still need to get the shit fucked out of you, I see. Did we ever determine if the lucky individual was preferred to be a man or woman....no matter either way, that sexual repression coupled with seething anger and unswerving loyalty would do the Schutzstaffel proud.

Right, but exactly like the "high six figures, low seven" figure, the source is: you, a person with no concept of money.

Go do a comparison of known $10M/yr endorsement deals (Hint: Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant) and see if CrossFit is bringing 1/20th the exposure to the table. It's a simply crazy statement that nobody rational would believe.

Well, the McBoxes around here believe that their product is worth from $175 to as much as $250 per month, so it's only natural that everything up the line would be highly inflated. That's another reason for the panic, if @fit folded and the affiliates lost the @fit brand then they would actually have to compete against one another in an open market instead of colluding so they don't "devalue the brand" as I was told.

You're obviously the expert, and I'm obviously the "source" of all these numbers. Oh wait.

If someone else wants to screencap it, the www.Reebok.com homepage has moved way away from the @F-centered marketing that was covering it for a while. Have to scroll down to find any @F stuff.

This is first rate stuff. I should follow Crossfit more.
Gravity existed before Isaac Newton, but he was the first to describe it in a measurable way, which obviously changed the world. Fitness existed before Greg Glassman, but he was the first to describe it in a way that allowed the world to begin optimizing it. Weightlifting, gymnastics, calisthenics and even combinations of them existed long before Greg ...But no one understood the implications of constantly varying the high power output of functional movements as it applies to human work capacity in all its domains before Greg. Greg is THAT GUY.

Update on that @F affiliate owner -slash- firefighter. Not good.
http://groton.patch.com/articles/police ... estigation
Poquonnock Bridge firefighter Tim Devine was told he was being investigated for improper sexual contact with teen boys at the CrossFit gym he owned hours before he fatally shot himself at the University of Connecticut's Avery Point campus, the Hartford Courant is reporting.

Capt. Thomas Davoren of the City of Groton Police Department said city police were working with the Groton Town Police Department and Stonington Police Department on an investigation. He declined to discuss the nature of the allegations.

“The case is being investigated and involves unsubstantiated allegations at this point,” he said.

He said, “We do coordinate with the state’s attorney’s office.

New London State's Attorney Michael Regan confirmed Thursday that there is an ongoing investigation of Devine.

"There is a police investigation and if and when it’s completed, any investigation they would discuss with us," he said.

Groton Town Police Lt. John Varone said the department could not comment "on whether we had an open investigation or we didn’t.”

Devine fatally shot himself after an armed standoff with police on July 24.

Can you imagine what Reebok is thinking right now? If @F did this to Anthos, what will they do to Reebok when they fall out of favor or make the wrong move in @F's eyes?

No, seriously. Couldn't this thread be reduced by 800 pages or so if Jay and Quack just PM'd each other?

Wait, so what was the timing of the initial Anthos approach vis a vis the Reebok deal? I bet Greg was willing to listen to Anthos until he got the giant sacks of cash from Reebok.
