Am I missing something here or was love destroyed by the WOD?
"Hi fellow crossfitters, just to report on the sad break up of Neil and Ellie. Had a big burst up last night and now we are no more. 'Fraid it was mostly my fault as I couldn't get it together with the WOD .The worse I got the more Neil got frustrated and the more he shouted and the more I went to pieces. I'll put my poor performance down to familly problems and starting the Zone Diet (I think I overdosed on protein powder).Anyway I'll miss him terribly as he's a very special person and I love him big time. He's also a very talented and knowledgable tainer and always more than willing to answer any queries regarding fitness.Hopefully he'll soon manage over to visit the croosfit gyms and I'm sure that all parties will benefit from the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Look after him for me.Yours in fitness,Ellie.

A novice is someone who keeps asking himself if he is a novice. An intermediate is someone who is sick of training with weak people and an advanced person doesn't give a shit anymore. - Jim Wendler

Pavel's done significantly better squat corrections in less time. At our RKC they took a 60 year-old who couldn't squat to parallel and had him dropping into a full squat with decent arch in something like 10 minutes.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Cat, that has not been proven, maybe it looks that way, but proof is needed, and I have a million problems with DD and the RKC and a few with him. Many who are hanging him now, were virtually sucking his dick 2 years ago.
Cotter, Mahler, Maxwell all have legit beefs with the RKC, Pavel and JDC for many reasons, but the reality is it's over buisness and personal shit.
I have seen him watch people and fix their problem on the spot many times. Steve Maxwell said that he is amazed by how quick P could analize and fix peoples little problems.
He knows his shit, training wise, but he hooked up with a Douchbag con man.

LOL! I've never heard that expression, but it fits the bill perfectly. Thanks Hoss.Trip wrote:to paraphrase: "if you gonna ride with the horse thieves you are gonna hang with the horse thieves"

The tree swinging traps wasn't a lie, I got mine. But if I had published five books with "Master of Sport" on them when I had never received that ranking, I would feel like I had deceived someone. And the bullshit story he spun afterwords through JDC just made it worse; that's like saying "I did all the classwork but didn't pass the official tests, but I am still a doctor. Trust me."johno wrote:Are you talking "Master of Sport" lying or "Tree-swinging Traps" lying?
