She might be a two bagger, but from the neck down, i like.

Re: The couch thread
From what I've learned, many key affiliates are now being brought on as either "employees" or "consultants" to @fit in an effort to keep the machine running. Some say it's due to the GWF's proclivities and how they might lead to a meltdown of the system.

I wonder if CrossFit folks here realize that they bought much of their equipment from me.

Re: The couch thread
Does PVC come in different densities? I am thinking of increasing my loading. Should I just buy increasing diameters of PVC? What about ABS. Come on help a brotha out.

Re: The couch thread
i've found that putting the broomstick inside the PVC is the easiest way to go.
Also, it is really easy to go back down in weight when the combo gets too heavy

Hell, I don't use either one. I just make believe I'm holding a bar and just work the motion, if I get tired from that weight I know it will be time to quit lifting all together.coop wrote:i've found that putting the broomstick inside the PVC is the easiest way to go.

Re: The couch thread
That's good in theory, but I'm worried about the weights. What if I have to dump the PVC while the stick is inside it? Will it harm the stick? The PVC (do I need schedule 80)? Fear of dumping the weight has kept me from progressing. I'm thinking I should buy a power rack for this.coop wrote:i've found that putting the broomstick inside the PVC is the easiest way to go.

"Strange memories on this nervous night in Santa Cruz. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a Main Era — the kind of peak that never comes again. Crossfit HQ in the early 2000's was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run . . . but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant. . . .
There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. . . .
Women were leaving their husbands and getting tit jobs. failed athletes were finding untold riches in the naivete of housewives and thin white men. Marginally attractive female trainers were hailed as the Zenith of beauty and terms like "crossfit hot" were coined.
And that, I think, was the handle—that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. but we did try to capitalize on the service of brave men and women serving our country. we thought our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting — on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. . . .
It was a time before Eva's clit become so distended and engorged that I wasn't sure if it was pointing at me in an accusatory fashion, or beckoning me to come hither. Before semi skilled buffoons were hailed as the poster boys and girls of a new movement, not unlike a bowel movement, only to be replaced by big titty bitches who lived on the sweat of others and trust funds, and answered to the name Barky.
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Arizona and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark — that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back. "

You don't see Ryan Vierra throwing the weight for height in front of the Louvre. Or Ryan Kennelly doing floor presses outside the Statue of Liberty. Fuck.

Speaking of hooks, there's probably some poor bastard hanging in a meat locker with meth calves and claw hammer wounds.
