OK, I get it.
Steroids for WSB = bad
Steroids for Crossfitters = now being swept under the rug as thoroughly as possible, despite visible evidence that anabolics usage occurred with high frequency at @F HG when it was open.

That's the thing. It's not apparent to them. The small minority of legit athletes in CF don't talk about it. The rest have their heads up their asses about roids and don't know the first thing about them. All they know is that "steroids shrink your balls/steroids are bad/steroids are cheating/steroids will kill you."Shaf wrote:OK, I get it.

Pfft (is that how it's spelled?). Suspended for 30 days? BFD.
Get banned then come see me.
It's funny how Shaf and I said the same thing, but his post seemed a little more well informed. I don't fault Tate for what he's done. Bidness is bidness. He did the same thing with T-Bag until that got too weird. Lots of hero worship, but I suspect the quid-pro-quo got to be too much. T-Bag probably wanted more articles and if you're a regular reader of Tate's log, then you know he requires loads of editing. In the end, @fit gives him a wide, strength-seeking audience and client base where he doesn't have to compete for the equipment $$$. Another thing, EFS carries DeFranco's bars and other supps from people Tate knows and uses. T-Bag probably didn't like competing with one of its most popular authors (behind the wildly popular Danny John).

Add this guy to the list of people that CF wants to draft. He's a SM competitor and a strong bastard. I don't know if his gym is affiliated or not, but CF saw fit to put this on their site. Strong work.

midline stabilization cert.
Turns out it was a miswording and the guy meant to say cocksmoking cert, (I mean midline seminar.)
I was surprised to see some rebelling among the ranks however at the number of certs for everything from putting on your shorts in the morning to "how to steal a big titty bitch of your own", getting out of hand. The Steven low guy was a big believer when I used to troll, I mean read, the boards more often, and yet here he is speaking in a manner counter to the party line.
how soon before he gets suspended by the CF nazie herself?

DISCLAIMER: The only time I'll be doing a 220lb thruster is when I'm horizontal. That said, when the guy got into the later rounds (ie, after the first), it was more a series of singles. Which begs the question; was that an @fit workout? Clearly not. He was not performing at maximum capacity across multiple modal domains and paradigms . . .or some shit like that.Gin Master wrote:Add this guy to the list of people that CF wants to draft. What he was doing was damn impressive, but he risked injury in going "for time." I bet his next Fran sucked.
There are a shitload of affiliates, aren't there?

I thought I recognized that picture of Lynn Pitts. The guy holding her is my brother. So with a little goggling, I found the page of x-fit it came from. Dan's pictures are all over the x-fit site back in 2004. I think we did the oly seminar at Santa Cruz in 2005, but I could be wrong.

Top 5 threads in the @Fit equipment forum right now (seriously):
1. Tabata Timer
2. Go to first new post Tabata timers, my research
3. Best timer for tabata interval
4. Tabata timer for IPOD
5. Tabata Timer
They're all different and all concern timing 20:10 intervals. Amazing.

DIVERSITY
diversity |diˈvərsitē; dī-|
noun ( pl. -ties)
the state of being diverse; variety : there was considerable diversity in the style of the reports.
• [usu. in sing. ] a range of different things : newspapers were obliged to allow a diversity of views to be printed.
ORIGIN Middle English : from Old French diversite, from Latin diversitas, from diversus ‘diverse,’ past participle of divertere ‘turn aside’ (see divert ).
"If we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity."
John F. Kennedy
"The diversity of mankind is a basic postulate of our knowledge of human beings. But if mankind is diverse and individuated, then how can anyone propose equality as an ideal? Every year, scholars hold Conferences on Equality and call for greater equality, and no one challenges the basic tenet. But what justification can equality find in the nature of man? If each individual is unique, how else can he be made 'equal' to others than by destroying most of what is human in him and reducing human society to the mindless uniformity of the ant heap?"
Murray N. Rothbard
"In Germany they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Recently, I’ve received a few emails criticizing me for presenting a seminar to a specific group this past weekend. I presented the seminar on my philosophy of training based on more than two decades of powerlifting and muscular development. Having been Under The Bar my whole life training for meets and/or shows, I can say with certainty that I know what works for me. I have also been around long enough to see what works for others, and can troubleshoot and help resolve just about all powerlifting-related issues.
The field of strength training has always been, and will always be, a dick measuring contest. Everyone feels their dick (training philosophy) is better than the next. They will do whatever it takes to make their dick look bigger, while at the same time trying to make the other guy’s dick look smaller. We see this every day in the criticism we hear and read. The fact of the matter is that we all (except females) have dick, we’ve had them our entire lives. Nothing will change this fact. There is also not a whole lot we can do about the size of our member, so regardless of whose dick you think is bigger, if it’s anyone’s dick at all, it makes zero difference. What matters is how you blow your nut.
You see, if we really compared one dick to the next, it wouldn’t matter if one guy was four inches bigger than the other because the smaller guy would walk away muttering about how he lost because the other guy was on drugs, had cosmetic surgery, was half hard before the contest, or wore looser briefs (less daily compression). The smaller guy may also say it was colder on his side of the room, he didn’t sleep well, or his briefs were tighter. The point is that the excuses will always deflect attention from the fact that the guy has a smaller dick. BUT - it's still his dick and he will always know better how it works than the other guy. What we are really talking about here is whose dick works better, aren't we? Who blows the better nut? Yet, before we can debate this, we need to define what a good nut is, correct? Whether it’s volume, duration, shakes, how fast or slow? What is it? What would be defined as “the best nut”?
I guess this would have to be defined by the dick that blows it. I'm sure we can all agree that every dick is looking for the same general outcum: to blow a nut. Good, now we know the size of the dick (training philosophy) doesn’t matter as long as one blows a nut. This is where I look at things differently. I know how big my dick is, and I know how I like to blow a nut, but I have a community to serve where everyone has different dicks. Some know how to blow a nut, while others are still looking for the best way. Actually, do we ever stop looking for a better way to blow a nut? Hell, I’m still looking for the perfect nut and haven't found it yet. Because I'm looking for the perfect nut, I see this process as nothing more than self-serving masturbation. I see the strength community as a huge circle jerk. I want to see how everyone blows their nut. Granted, 90% of what we all do is the same (pull pants down, grab dick, move hand, etc), but what I want to see is the 10% that's different.
You see, some guys love to crank as fast as they can (the dynamic method). Some will smack the shit out of it (shock training). Some will crank hard, let go and crank hard again (rest-pause). Many will use a regular grip for 10 strokes and then flip to reverse grip for 10 (muscle balance). Others will grab as hard as they can and stroke hard and slow for a few reps (max effort method). Others will use a steady pace (repetition method). Some try to blow as fast as they can (HIT training). Others try to make it last (volume training). Hell, some even use bands and chains (Westside), while others like to just lay it flat and palm it around for half the time, then flip it the last half (upper/lower body splits). I could go on and on, because there are hundreds of ways to blow a nut.
The point I'm making is that while my philosophy is grounded on going hard and heavy, I may not always have the time or metal attitude to do it. In cases like this, some slapping and lube can go a long way. There are other times when my hand may go numb, and I need to add in some rest-pause training. Finally, if I have the time, nothing beats a good high volume session.
In the end I WILL blow my nut. Who cares how I get there?
In summary, I could always just beat off in front of a mirror and tell myself how great I am, or I can join a circle jerk and watch what others do in case the time comes when I have a hard time getting off.
What I try to do on this site is provide a canvas of nut stains, so when the time cums, you can blow the biggest nut of your life!

It's official Tate has lost his fucking mind.
That has got be some of the stupidest shit I've read in along time.
I'll stick with reading Wendler's training log since that's all I've read consistently for the past year anyway.
Tate had better be a bit more specific about how much he loves Cultfit and protect it's reputation like a mother bear would protect its cub or he'll get the same treatment that Dan John did.
