This bullshit about the operators, heros and the fallen is nothing more than the wrapping on the manipulation that makes it more palletable (for some). The "smackdowns" that people who call bullshit is the classic response, somewhere out there is a young person who just learned you don't question the cooch. I suspect more learn that lesson than step back and go, "What the fuck have I attached myself to?" Boto and PD, good on you guys for actually seeing the light.

Check out this FAQ http://www.rickross.com/faq.html, lots of parallels, too many.
+1

It's especially disturbing when Cooz literally says that people on his main site are ignorant and dumb, but he benevolently excuses their failings because he realizes they're simpletons -- and everybody eats it up and just loves him for it. I don't get it.
everyone always thinks they're in the smart 10%.

odds are very much against that...
have you ever been as far as even considered go want to do look more like?

Pavel has a good track record for this type of training, Caviston I'm not sure about but seems to be a badass but I'm not sure the carryover and @fit = wtf?.

The guy over at Mountain Athlete seems to have a good grasp on this type of training as well.

Oh and btw, I hate couch and fagfit and all of the cultfit kool-aid drinkers. I really do.
I would really like to know.

Irony, hypocrisy, whatever:
Posted on the main site, 4/21/09, a video of three people roundback DLing high reps: http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/004636.html...then Caviston gets called out for his form 4/25/09: http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/004644.html

Same day, 4/25/09, Couch calls out Caviston for the DL form contest, and yet has never been video'd doing even a scaled WAD with "only" his old injury, then they post this 4/26/09:

From Joe's cult education post:
A charismatic leader, who increasingly becomes an object of worship as the general principles that may have originally sustained the group lose power.
Wow. How accurate.

You did it right!

Way back when I was a young and impressionable cultfitter, I was quite active on the forum. One day, I went so far as to call out the "dog pile" mentality of some of my fellow cultists when a certain poster named Walsh actually questioned the Zone as the end-all diet for @fit. I backed him up saying his argument was well reasoned and came from a medical/scientific line of reasoning. I was then dog-piled upon for my support of a contrarian.

Enter Couch.

He called out the OP, Walsh, and then me for supporting him and for being misinformed and some other shit. He basically said Walsh was an idiot for questioning the all-knowing Dr. Sears (hey, RQ they call that guy "Dr.", ironic huh?) and that I was overreacting to the "community's" defense. I e-mailed Couch 3 times with my responses to his attacks. He chose to answer me on the forum and make an example of me. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was classic cultism in action. Public reprimands to quiet the questioning deciples and get them back in line.

Didn't work too well on me.

I've figured it out.

It just dawned on me what the entire purpose of CrossFit is.

CrossFit is Couch's way of getting back at the world for his injury. He was so upset about being crippled the way he was that he decided to take it out on others. CrossFit was his way to do that. "If I can't be healthy, no one will!" he probably screamed night after night as he cried himself to sleep with a bottle of gin.

It's all so clear now.

Couch doesn't want to help you. He wants to drag you down to hell with him.

Sofa King,
I'm beginning to think that a lack of actual, bonafide credentials is necessary to rise in the @F world.

After all, learning things that the cult doesn't teach might encourage free-thinking, and we know they don't want that! :axe:

Yes, the unique and novel approach of Cultfuck is forging a vast network of affiliates and generating large amounts of cash all while evading tax and franchise laws. True, this has never been tried successfully before.

Depending on the type of cult, this is the type of statement their leaders issue

1) Before a grand jury for child kidnapping and molestation charges
2) While waiting on the spaceship, or
3) Before federal agents torch the compound.

Couch is stuck between two and three. He likes his women a little older. Equipose takes the place of grooming.

Rhabdo is just the latest vehicle. After all, GHD situps are cheaper than cyanide.
