Unfortunately, that's a condition that's not distinct to CrossFit. I always see douchebags at the gym leave their weights and leave, or just roll them off to the side.
The way I see it, loading and unloading the plates/dumbells/whatever is part of the exercise. If you can't be bothered to do that shit then the tool isn't for you.
I also can't stand when people drop weights. It's a total bitch move. I'm not talking about failing at an attempt and having to drop the weight. I'm talking about the guys who just drop the weight after every set cuz they can't be bothered to set it down nicely. Half the fuckin' dumbells at the gym are all wobbly and feel like they're gonna fall apart because of these fucktards. Once again, if you can't lower a weight properly, then it's not for you.
From what I've seen, CrossFit promotes this douchebaggery with the constant dropping of the weights, even when totally uncalled for and out of the ordinary. It's as if, in their minds, dropping the weight is the stamp of a balls-to-the-wall set well done. They have to drop it, otherwise no one will look at them and say "Daaamn, bro! Awesome shit!"
