Re: What's your moment of truth
When that thought that you could just quit starts to creep into your mind...I remind myself that I am bigger, stronger, and faster than the fear and way more hardcore than the pain is. Then I realize that It's only pain, and pain is a F**%$#@ p&*#y, which is trying to prevent me from achieving victory....alot of times I'll scream or yell....thats when I'm able to find Josh Everett's "other gear" and do something totally epic (in my little world anyways). It's happened in a few WODs....Notably Fran, Runny Fran, Jackie, and other box-specific WODs here at CFNE.
It's in that moment when you're shuffling your feet on a run, looking up at the pull-up bar, or down at the barbell feeling sorry for yourself thinking, "Man, this is hard....I dunno about this..." That's when you cut yourself off, ***** slap yourself into reality and say, "STOP! Pick up the *****ing bar!" "Beast mode ON"
It's the same in any sport....i did the exact same things on the football field back in the day.....There was NO way the dude in front of me was going to beat me.

Holy shit, this fag is such a fuckface...
You might be wondering what kind of condition a man who cares this seriously about his diet is in...31 yrs old, 5'8" & 155lbs @ 15-17% bfGoing to Vegas for a few days, need ideas on how to stay paleo
If our room even had just a microwave, this would've been a piece of cake but it doesn't. It does have a fridge though.
My cousin lives out there so I can get a ride to the supermarket for fruits, veggies, seeds, etc. I just don't know what to do about the meat.
I can get a bunch of frozen indiviual sized salmon packets and take them on the plane w/me but I won't be able to cook them. Maybe I can cook them @ home, freeze them, and THEN neatly package them to take on the plane?
This will probably be only for 2 of my 3 daily meals. I'll probably eat once w/everyone else @ a restaurant and just order something fairly paleo and healthy.
Or I could try my other option. Go to the buffet around mid-day, fill my plate up w/1800 cal worth of meat, veggies, nuts, seeds, and some fruit and not have to worry about anything else. The latter option is much easier and simpler for me actually.
And if you're wondering, yes, I will be having a few drinks. I know this might defeat the whole purpose of staying Paleo. I get that, it's just that I really don't know grains and sugar will do to me after not having ANY for 6 weeks.
Thanks.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. This guy has been around there since 2007 and has 1169 posts. What in the hell do these people feel like they are accomplishing by bullshitting about @fit philosophy for a couple years when there are women that could easily out lift them?Stats: 5'10 130lbs (yea I know, I lost 15lbs since May, I was at 145lbs at the start of the summer; this was not done intentionally). All of my lifts have gone down alot, performance in WODs have sucked, and I've been feeling tired and out of it. I don't know my 1RM, but my 5RM are:
Press- 80lbs
Squat- 120lbs (switched to low bar, so have to get used to it.)
Deadlift- 185lbs
Before all this weight loss, my stats were:
Press- 90lbs
Squat- 150lbs (I think)
Deadlift- 225lbs

Cultfit is a strange animal. Whereas some people do Cultfit for years and inexplicably lose 15 lbs., others, like Glassman, have being doing elite workouts for years but inexplicably gain 15 lbs every other weekend.Fish wrote:http://www.board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=51075

I have this problem also. I can find some paleo foods on the Plams buffet, but I have a gluten allergy and they don't do gluten free or grass fed beef, so I have to pack everything and bring it with me. My biggest problem is that the affiliate there dosen't do main page wods. Couch created the best sytstem, why not follow it. I will bring my rings and 35lb KB and do tabata masturbation...fucking retards need a beating!Going to Vegas for a few days, need ideas on how to stay paleo

If those faggots (a) trained hard, or (b) knew anything about training, they could use a Vegas weekend as a deload.

Re: The couch thread
First good thing (that isn't a hot skank) I've seen on the @Fit forum probably ever:

Re: The couch thread
In my college gym I saw some dude "@fitting" today that I have never seen workout there before. He was doing some bastardized slow tempo kipping pullups and 65 pound thrusters, which one would assume he was doing a scaled version of "fran".
I am looking forward to seeing his "progress".
Though I would rather see him workout than the little dweeb that is in there all the time grunting while wrist curling 17.5 pound dumbbells.
