Now this isn't a bad little story.

This illustrates the whole fucking thing wrong with the fitness industry today, and, in a nutshell, describes why Crossfit has been successful.

-intense workouts
-decent diet
-group support

Of course, another owner of Motor City Crossfit tried for years to be successful with MLMs, but never managed to. I also snicker at OL certified Crossfit folks whom have never competed in a single fucking meet.

That disconnect between the huge surge of bumper plate sales and the static membership of the US WL org shows that, no, Crossfit isn't helping grow legit OL in the US, yet.

It's helping more than you give it credit for...if it weren't for Crossfit I'd have almost no one to coach...I had 9 lifters at the FrontRange Crossfit USAW sanctioned meet last month. That's seven or eight more than I had back east at any given USAW meet.

Man, Hoffman was like the Proto-couch.

Except Hoffman trained. I remember reading in one of the books that he'd run 10 miles a day after he got so old, because he felt that it kept his dick hard. Hoffman might have loved pussy more than couch, but it's probably a toss up. Ol' Art Jones of Nautilus loved the poontang too.

Here is a nice Soviet Army exercise here,require a lot of endurance,and "functional mass" of shit!

The rules of the game:'Position your body between two bunk beds,level 2 ,using American Superman position.
Stay there as long as possible,set is timed.
For better performance sometimes bayonet may be positioned under your Rectus Abdominis.

I'm sure that has a lot to do with it...but Boulder itself is mostly bikers, runners and triathletes...however, there are at least a dozen Xfit facilities in the greater Denver metro area...(all more or less committed to doing the Oly lifts)
Paul Fleschler (former head coach USAW-OTC) even runs a crossfit affiliate in Colorado Springs...although I suspect the lifters he brought to the Front Range meet have never once thought about doing Fran.
