A huge mistake IMHO. The two things most important for greatness, talent and desire, are not significantly impacted by the weight room. But you can damage those things very easily in the weight room and i would argue Iowa S+C did just that. In the weight room first do no harm. Second, fix the harm somebody else did(from bad or nonexistent technique to muscle imbalances to complete lack of squatting ability) Third, help them get stronger and that is the most important thing for both bigger and stronger. Spare me your skinny strenght BS. You do not need the programming of Robert Roman to get a 20 year old college kid stronger. It has more to do with consistency than anything else.
