Re: The couch thread
So, this is interesting. If you read the wiki for L. Ron Hubbard, the similarities to Couch are remarkable.
Failures at life with a series of failures and failed ventures defining their early life. No particular education or talents in life, but both men were unabashed egotists with uncanny charisma (e.g., the ability to dupe large groups of people). Both men invented shit out of thin air and used meaningless, sciencey mumbojumbo to describe their "inventions." Both men started with a tightknit inner circle. Both men raked in money by lecturing and holding seminars that were well attended by retards, found in abundance on the West Coast in both instances. Both men made lots of money by setting up a hierarchy within their system and selling the ability to climb the ladder. Both men's followers forgo rational thought when discussing the virtue of their Dear Leader. And last but not least, both men's systems were widely criticized and debunked by their contemporaries.
No clear evidence that Mr. Hubbard was a drunk, however.

Re: The couch thread
It's definitely a shocker. But for him, walking around at 220 will be much healthier than 320. Plus he may avoid walking like an old man at 30. Hopefully he doesn't get caught up in stupid exercises

I once saw him eat at least four bags of beef jerky and drink 2 32oz gatorades as a snack.Jay wrote:It's definitely a shocker. But for him, walking around at 220 will be much healthier than 320. Plus he may avoid walking like an old man at 30. Hopefully he doesn't get caught up in stupid exercises

My HQ sources tell me there will be an event(s) at Camp Pendleton, with the favored athletes getting a heads-up on the details of the event, maybe even some practice time.

Maybe I should start a cert for athletes in the sport of fitness.
