The fuck is the debate anyway?
When is war justified

Re Smet's Forgotten Soldier reference :
The author wasn't SS. He served in the regular German Army (the Wehrmacht). IIRC he served in the Russian campaign.

Why can't war be justified and a racket at the same time?

As concepts, War and Racket are about as useful as Racism and Poverty and Rape and Misogyny and Justice and Evolution...

My point exactly.

Anyone who deploys those terms in a discussion is either naive and/or disingenuous.

...You don't think war, racket, racism, etc., exist?

I think the terms have been so devalued as to become meaningless and good only for misdirection and manipulation.

I don't know how anybody could reasonably discuss the history of this country, let alone the rest of the world, from past to present, without utilizing concepts like racism, war, and rape.

I can see how modern-day using has seen the overuse of said terms, sure, and people try to apply them to situations where the severity of such statements doesn't deserve it, but to dismiss them entirely?

It seems like an extreme that isn't warranted, that's all.

Overused, sure. And misapplied.

But I believe that terrorism, socialism, and a free market, accurately describe concepts, and are useful in a discussion.

I'd rather call someone out for misusing the term, rather than dismiss it entirely for the same reason.

Ha! You just want to get your opposite to agree to your assumptions without him realizing it.

Of course war is a racket, so is peace.

But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the fuck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!

Would be interested in responses from amurikan public please...

http://www.trueactivist.com/someone-fin ... verything/

Is this info on the public radar, is it denied, is it just a shrug of the shoulders. Not trolling etc, truly interested as an outsider. In fact as an outsider, I noticed that even this 'expose' journo stopped short of telling like it is from a non U.S. perspective.

Sykes-Picot + Oil + Islam = The New Caliphate.

We tried to keep a lid on that shit hole WWI and WWII created because of the oil. The extent of that sin is how one feels about the value of cheap oil.
