Re: COVID-FIT: Survive the Chinese AIDS

Dinged my back, it's fixed but now thinking I'm going to let it heal for a month. Been doing 30 days of Yoga with Adriene on Youtube. She's a cute Alyssa MIlano lookalike albeit with snaggleteeth. It's been working wonders for me. Throw in a 4 mile walk and I'm done. Low impact. Hopefully don't get ...

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

The Total Tension Complex, which is a 6 week doubles program came up today. I've run it. An excellent 6 week program for strength. https://www.strongfirst.com/?s=total+tension There was a thread about it, Look at this sheep. HUNTER1313 said: I hate it when total tension threads pop up. They make me ...

Re: What to make of the election?

Biden received the Blue Meanie (Klobuchar) and Butt Plug's support. It was a consolidation. Kasich and Cruz and Rubio are all pissed that the other two guys didn’t quit. Voter turnout in the primary Super Tuesday was way up. That means enthusiasm is way up. For Milquetoast Joe. He'll get eviscerate...

Re: What to make of the election?

Bernie is all mouth. He doesn't have the balls to take on Biden. There was no comeback here, Biden received the Blue Meanie (Klobuchar) and Butt Plug's support. It was a consolidation. Biden has zero plans. Just wants to heal the nation. Good luck with that. Bob Dole was the most uninspiring candida...

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

If your press stinks, press until it gets better. Hey, hey, let's not get carried away here. Press is in another program, ETK. Who do you think you are, chopping S&S and ETK? Do you know what can happen if you do that? I really want to run Return of the Kettlebell even though I haven't hit my Simpl...

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

Wait, doing getups doesn't improve your press? I can't imagine wasting a solid year doing getups up to 32kg and not being able press the 24 more than twice. https://www.strongfirst.com/community/threads/s-s-press.15878/ Holy fuck I am amazed these people manage to get through each day without an ar...

Re: A Fatty Special Report: One Year of 5/3/1

I think the best way to add volume to the main lift was BD's idea of First Set Last. After the money set, drop back to the first set weight and keep hitting 5'ers with it until the bar speed slows down. I think a set rest time would work good with this method so fatigue is building consistently fro...

Re: A Fatty Special Report: One Year of 5/3/1

Sounds like you're now North of Nipple. Good work. I ran that program for awhile. Never was a BBB fan, I liked total body and first set last. So many people get caught up in the assistance work that they miss the big picture. When I ran it, I would do pullups of 3-5 between each lifting set. I found...

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

I guess I need to trade in my Girevik card comrades, I do most of my work with 45's. Using imperial measurments, not even kg. DJ has also stated that the 20 is the perfect size. So he's been on both sides. His big jumps had to do it barbell plates. 25's and 45's. Good luck on that 50 lb. increase on...

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

I was doing work with an 88 today, deadlift, one arm row, goblet squat, 2 hand swings. Decided to do some TGU's. Press the bell up, and said, "fuck that." Grabbed a 70. Fucking idiots. Incremental gains are gains. . Ah, the first comment is the best. Small incremental jumps in weight imply fear. The...

Mitt Romney was an excellent governor in Massachusetts. He fucked up in the 3rd debate vs. the First Kenyan, and he's gotten dumber and more deranged since then. He has taken the place of Jeff Flake as the village idiot of the Republican wing of the Senate. Fucking turncoat. Nancy Pelosi is such a t...

The beginning of the end was when they went from kettlebells to all in on Convict Conditioning. I can understand the diversification, and it was a hit, but it started going down hill then.

Re: Simple and Sinister - second edition.

Good for Dan, we said our peace. Program sucks. I get the feeling Dan has an axe to grind with Pavel and trying to stay above the fray. Time to do heavy day of Clean "em Up with a hangover. Going to suck I don't even think S&S sucks. 100 one arm swings with 32 kg is fairly strong. It's just not mar...

I love jumping rope. I usually do it in my garage when the weather is better. I worry about shin splints doing too much, but it's great to alternate with swings.

It's usually the 3rd or 4th time in EDT when it happens. Sucks. Still can do complexes and chains though. The heavy shit days are over. Use mostly 45's and 55's now.
