Hate to your rain your selective memory and the P&B party, but the impetus for this thread was the Couch proclaimation that kettlebells don't build power, and my post 1) there, asking why that wasn't simple nonsense, and 2) here, informing the faithful of post 1) there.Shaf wrote:I would like to commemorate this day as being the day that Couch attempted his drunken character assassination on Dan John.
Thus providing the impetus for this thread.
The Dan John, Mark Twight, Steve Cotter, Jack Reape, Josh Hillis, core pushups et al..Kurtzian meltdowns are the steady flow of wood that keep the fire burning brightly.

Look on 1/27 picture for THE PROOF of 750lb DLs! While the Couch is blessing the communicant box squatting to the tupperware, a car can be seen in the background, clearly flipped over by a 750lb DLer who only DLs 3x a year.

Yesterday was deadlift day. Looks like about a dozen 400+ pullers and a single 500 pull (501).
So, yea, you can say they can produce a deadlift in the 500-750# range.
