I would like to commemorate this day as being the day that Couch attempted his drunken character assassination on Dan John.

Thus providing the impetus for this thread.

And to the brave souls of P&B who led the counter-attack, which
caused the infamous Glassman meltdown.

I also salute the 63 page thread devoted to the enlightenment of said
Glassman.

Hate to your rain your selective memory and the P&B party, but the impetus for this thread was the Couch proclaimation that kettlebells don't build power, and my post 1) there, asking why that wasn't simple nonsense, and 2) here, informing the faithful of post 1) there.

The Dan John, Mark Twight, Steve Cotter, Jack Reape, Josh Hillis, core pushups et al..Kurtzian meltdowns are the steady flow of wood that keep the fire burning brightly.

Please forgive Bill. He tends to take this thread very seriously as he is the creator of it.

That was for Shaf.

Please excuse Doughboy, he's only doing what Jesus would do.

Now that you mention it, you are correct.

The Foxian Departure was indeed a catalyst event for this specific thread.

I think that the common procedure is to shrink it with chemo, and then surgery.

Today's comments: RE: the necessity for a false grip w/ a muscle up.

For beginners, and that's the cohort here, it is "nearly impossible" without a false grip - perhaps unsafe as well. ...

This thread is fine and all, but the following thread is longer and a much better use of your time: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=556042. It is the T-Nation Ass Worship Thread.

Look on 1/27 picture for THE PROOF of 750lb DLs! While the Couch is blessing the communicant box squatting to the tupperware, a car can be seen in the background, clearly flipped over by a 750lb DLer who only DLs 3x a year.

Yesterday was deadlift day. Looks like about a dozen 400+ pullers and a single 500 pull (501).

So, yea, you can say they can produce a deadlift in the 500-750# range.
