They seem to think my beef is with Glassman or the CrossFit philosophy. It isn't. Glassman has a great thing going, and I will admit it right up front, I drink the kool-aid when it comes to the methodology of CrossFit. Glassman has set himself up an affiliate fitness empire that is unrivaled. I mean count the affiliates and multiply that by $1,000. Look at all those certifications, thats ~60 people per cert x $1,000, so $60,000 almost every weekend! Thats over $3 million a year just in level one certs. Hell, they took the Microsoft principle of licensing and applied it to fitness certification. I applaud them!

They can hang me out to dry all they want. It was their moderators fault I was given access to that section of the forum. Glassman likes to put things out in public when it is something he doesn't like. Well maybe this will cause a little powwow between him and his forum moderators, because its about time. That board has become the house of the internet lazy. People refuse to look up information on their own now.

I don't drink the kool-aid of personal opinion interjection into moderation. Rules are rules. You enforce the rules on a forum, you don't threaten to close whole sections of a forum or talk about people just because you don't like them. Make a rule, if someone violates it, great, do something. If nobody does, keep your mouth shut or warn people when they are getting close.

Look, I'm an asshole military pilot. I have to keep my ass alive daily teaching future pilots how to fly. My shit is in the street constantly and its left in the debrief, after the beer comes out, we let bygones be bygones. But I have a feeling this shit will go on and on. Fine, it will go on and on without me. I don't need drama over their screw up and their overbearing attitude to someone blowing the whistle on their "hidden" behavior.

I don't care enough to try and fight them.

3 things:

1. Cultfit is a money cult. Props to them for squezzing greenbacks out of hot soccer moms, wannabes, and x-games rejects. Still doesn't make it the one true thing. Or even A thing.
2. Cutlfit is a cult of personality. People in Jonestown died because nobody asked loud enough why doesn't the big guy play the same game as the rest of us? Dry erase boards and stick diagrams leads to pvc exercises and show tune transitions.
3. Being a military pilot is no excuse for doing cultfit. You should have smelled the fraud the first day. You did, but you wanted to be accepted by the couch and his concubines. Take me home. Your down. Two reflies and a recheck.

I did a little investigating and found that a post I made a while back on the mainsite praising CrossFit and Coach was posted there to generate a lot of hateful comments and bashing. Anyway, just so the world knows, I don't have a user account at IGX. I've never posted anything there and I never would given the negative and hateful environment. I'm not at all sure who would think it was funny to do that. I have only one suspicion, but it would be a pretty low thing to do - and very cowardly.

So the post is real, it's just that he'd never lower himself to post it on such a lowly site as this.

They're such savages at IGX they aren't worth "saving".

While he could be telling the truth it seems odd that he would make a post on the main @fit board, where everything is heavily moderated, calling out a group of people denouncing @fit. Also, a search on the interwebs shows no evidence of such a post...though that is not full proof. Probably just covering his ass...we are beneath him.

Oh good lord. What in the hell has happened to the Marine Corps? Granted I'm 8-10 years older than this guy but a Lieutenant Colonel of Marines is posting on the fucking internet about the transformation that XFit has given him? This almost brings a sad tear to my eye. I remember my battalion commander from 2/3, who was a decorated infantry Marine with several tours of duty in Vietnam that was one proud, regal, mean motherfucker that carried the sadness of a man who had seen young men die in combat and I can not imagine him ever writing some petty, self-absorbed horseshit like this on the internet of all places. I could see him strangling this cat with his bare hands though. No, really, a lieutenant colonel?
