During my time sipping the Kool Aid I have been in a lot of @fit gyms. I've seen some pretty piss poor programming from most boxes. So if these couches can't program exercise after their level I cert, what in the name of sweet baby gorilla jeebus makes them qualified to "analyze" anyone's diet ? Just cause they read Robb Wolf's book ? I read the Art of War and it doesn't make me George fucking Patton.

That is a huge reason why I don't touch nutrition. If someone needs nutrition advice from me I tell them to clean up the diet first by eating good foods and cutting out processed foods, fried, sugars and white flours. There is a very fine line between giving counsel by telling them what they should be doing and giving them a diet itself.

As an aside, I had a training partner who lived in an old Victorian. His back porch had posts like that. He cut a couple of 2 x 6's to one foot lengths. He also cut one end of each 2 x 6 in a 45. He then screwed one 2 x 6 on the two posts flat, high enough so that he could use his Olympic bar as a pull-up bar. He placed the bar in the space created by the 45 cut. After a while he just got a cold rolled bar and left it out all the time. His wife also used it as a clothes line.
