At Large's attempts to sponsor the P&B was hilarious in both execution and outcome. I'm pretty sure he lost money on that deal, despite me sending PMs to all members about sales and advertising banners...the goonimals despised it.

Mason sent me a free container of his then-new miracle supplement RESULTS.
It remains to date the only supplement that has ever made me vomit shortly after ingesting it.

No, it was him that was despised - if he had played his cards in any other way but "help has arrived", it could have worked out.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:At Large's attempts to sponsor the P&B was hilarious in both execution and outcome. OK, perhaps not, but it would have had a better chance of doing so.

It's true, he totally misplayed his hand. Blobert and I still have Nitrean in the cupboard...although it's only a partial jug.

This is because Matt C has evidently found THE scientifically proven bodybuilding program:Wasn't the consensus on getbig that Dante's DC training was crap? Just some attempt to create some new hardcore training program when there was nothing new to create? Was there any scientific backing to it whatsoever?

I can't believe with the games looming there's a lack of @fit douchbaggery to ridicule.

They're Paleo, right?
Suffered a Cat 3 AC Joint separation last week, can anyone tell me if there is any hope of something near a full recovery?
Just looking for a little hope at the moment.

I dropped a 185lb barbell on my head yesterday trying to do a overhead squat. I almost got to the bottom of the squat and the next thing you know the barbell was on the ground and my head started to knot up. I guess you could consider that a failure but just 5 years ago I could barely do a squat, much less an overhead squat with any significant weight. I used to think failure was a bad word. Failure was something to be avoided at all costs. As I have gotten older i realize failure is the only way we ever grow, phsically, mentally, and even spiritually. I like this quote from Teddy Roosevelt- “Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”
If you’ve never failed at anything you probably have’nt done anything.
Failure is one of the risks we take doing CrossFit, but the rewards are great. Surely better than the risk and rewards of a life lived never trying and never failing.

I guess if you make the high school baseball team some might confuse you with a natural born athlete. When I grew up second base was usually reserved for the coach's son, the worst player on the team.Rich is a natural born athlete, having starred in baseball at Cookeville High School from 2001-2005. He was a two-time all-district and all-region second baseman, along with numerous other team awards.

They don't believe in turning two up there eh? Second basemen are generally pretty good athletes here.Jonny Canuck wrote:I guess if you make the high school baseball team some might confuse you with a natural born athlete. Meh. 2B means you're not quick enough for short, don't have the arm for third, don't hit for power for 1B, not fast enough for CF, dumb enough to catch or have any pitching talent whatsoever.Turdacious wrote:They don't believe in turning two up there eh? can't be arsed tosurf through this to see if I'm bringing old news to the thread, but @fit was on BBC 1's morning news show last week. Cringe worthy for those that know.
On one hand, they are getting very big, but on the other I suspect this may be a bubble at full stretch. The again, what the fuck do I know?

Wow, so my move from right field to second base was not, in fact, an upgrade? How embarrassing.
