Ah. Thank you, Allison.

Hey Steve, I'm a crossfitter who is looking to make bigger gains strength wise and was wondering if you had any advice for someone who wants to have a better deadlift without sacrificing my Fran time. Thanks!

Look son, there comes a time in every man's life when he has to make a decision. Do you want to be big, powerful, jacked, yoked up, have women everywhere want you and men fear you . . . or do you want to do crossfit?

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. - Helen Keller

This is as it should be.
I think if you just look at the physiques and wardrobe of the average crossfitter and the average highland games competitor, it's easy to see why they two don't mix.

This image is apparently what Crossfit HQ thinks is appropriate to promote charitable events to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital and other Children's hospitals.

is this a joke? srsly, it has to be a joke. I know that @fit likes to kill puppies but I never imagined a scenario where they could publish something like this.

Yes, please say that is a joke. That is truly beyond tasteless.

Where's this?
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

No way it is real - you couldn't find three people who would decide to publish such a poster.

It was just sent out to affiliates along with a R@@bok Gaymes poster. It is for real. The affiliates are pissed for the most part.

While I'm not against stripper nurses, the lack of taste and compassion in this poster is appalling. I guess that towards one edge it says, "Pukie was here".

Or maybe this is the "garage gym" equivalent of a children's hospital.

I've heard that HQ's defense is, people who don't like the poster, don't like/are repulsed by sick kids?

That's the best they can come up with?

I love the braintrust at HQ.

Surely the marketing/publicity team that created that poster will be hired by Reebok to create their new ad campaign.

You know what needs to be done.

Reebok hates sick kids - the Reebok Gaymes openly mocks them in a way that few other companies would dare.

Someone asked the HQ drone whether they'd advertise a Wounded Warriors project with piles of dead and brutally maimed soldiers. Hasn't answered that one yet. I wonder why, wouldn't it be edgy and thought-provoking?

It's almost like they said,"Ya know Dave, things are slow over at IGX, the regionals have started and we haven't seen the expected increase in post count, what can we do to really heat things up over there?"
