True advices please. A @fit place opened on the next block, so is there something one can do to help them implode?

Or is it enough to let them cripple enough people that one will sue and put them out of business?

I also hear they don't pay some of their trainers that have been there for quite some time, still calling them "apprentice trainers". Getting people to train your clients for free must get you quite the profit margin. No wonder the new space is 3x the old one.

Guess apprentices need years of study to understand the intricacies of how many rounds of 200 meter jogs and box jumps one should do.

2. On that topic... My recollection says that high school football players have generally shittastic technique on every exercise. Then how can they perform the CFFB workouts effectively or safely?

"Olympic size" bar surprisingly light

My girlfriend did a workout at a globo gym and commented on how the weights there seemed heavier. So I weighed the "olympic size" bar that came with the Kraiburg All Rubber Weightplate Package I purchased from Rubberman and found out it weighed 30.7 lbs. This means that for every WOD I've done that used a barbell for the past year I've been using approx. 15 lbs less than I thought I was. ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!! I guess at least it gives me a newfound respect for what people are doing at the Rxed weights....

Just an FYI for anyone considering purchasing this package.

Yikes. And I thought my $50 e-bay 7-foot standard bar was crappy. It's 18 lbs, but it hasn't started to bend, despite a year and a half of abuse it was never mant to take. I've used it frequently for squats up to 265, deadlifts up to 315, and even clean/power clean up to 160 or so. it bends noticably during the lifts, but if you look at it end-on and unweighted, it's straight.

Far be it from me to disrespect the dead but all this “honoring” the dead business over at @ fit has gone from blatantly disingenuous to downright creepy. It’s almost as if they are pimping the dead for an ulterior motive although I can’t put my finger on what that is. It reeks of phoniness by the fact that only a sliver of @fitters even knew the guy or had even heard of him prior to his @fit obit followed by a workout naming ceremony. In Boston the Irish politicians has always had a custom of hitting each and every wake in their wards. I have always despised it because it’s grandstanding. There are doing this for votes and it’s very effective. The bereaved will think, “Wow what a great guy councilman O’Hearn is for coming to my mother’s wake.” He will then have that family's vote for life. Glassman is a real fucking creep in my book.

I said this much online in the comments section a year or two back and coach himself told me I was obviously some kind of effete, terrorist-luvin' commie to not feel a stir of pride at wod's named after dead soldiers. The only stirring I feel is nausea. It is simply tasteless. There's no real debate here imo.
