Yesh. Anyone not experienced with a sledge will underestimate the distance to the stake so that the stake hits the sledge just behind the head; best way to break it after a few.Resident Quack wrote:I think whomever called the injuries on the sledge WaD made the better call--Other competitors struggled badly with the sledge, with one competitor breaking four of them before completing the event. The SE is the worst in poll after poll. NC isn't the worst of the worst; they usually peg Alabammy or Mississippi for that.Mickey O'neil wrote:This is true.sanchezero wrote:well, one good thing about those freaks...they ain't fat.Mickey O'neil wrote:I just watched that video of the games and I never realized just how many people are at those Gaymes. I like big girls.
I think it's Gillian Mounsey. She's not nice face titties as well as a dump truck ass. I'd definitely hit. Probably the closest I ever come to fucking a pre op trannie.

We may have our Gaymes Rhabdo case.
Interestingly, Thorisdottir had never done GHD sit-ups and learned how to do them shortly before the WOD.
"They were weird," she said. "I thought they were kind of funny."
When asked if the GHDs were challenging, the young Icelander smiled: "No."

AFAIK, that's not where the BB goes...

Not that there is a pattern emerging here or anything, because the problem isn't with the programming, of course...

One of you lurking @Fers with doubt in your heart should ask @FHQ for an injury report after the Gaymes, just to show how "safe" @F is.

Sort of reminds me how when the Belgian weightlifter busted his elbow during the last Olympics, one of the groups broadcasting the games (in Britain, I think), kept showing instant replays of it... Of course, in this case, it's just idiots getting hurt for the sake of trying to win some arbitrary title bestowed by a drunken potbelly, and not an Olympic medal.

That dude wearing "judge" across his shirt reminds me when Tom Cruise wore his Vince shirt in the color of money. I wonder if this weenie screams the same way as Tommy boy?

Re: The couch thread
The Twitter pictures seem to disappear after a while...
Also, I see an interesting problem with the @F elitists, as determined by the fact that each Gaymes will likely favor completely different people. For TV coverage, they want stories and consistent high place finishers. A quick look at the people on top at this point in the Gaymes shows that many of their huge house names have already been eliminated after the first day. Bad for marketing, really bad. Boo hoo.

That's what Skins USA is for. Simply eliminate anyone who placed higher than the favorites.Resident Quack wrote:A quick look at the people on top at this point in the Gaymes shows that many of their huge house names have already been eliminated after the first day. Are the old timers like Greg, Rob, Nicole, and Annie even competing in this one?

Re: The couch thread
The old big names (Rob Miller, Annie) participated in the affiliate event.
Seems a Finn won the men's Gaymes at this point. I'll be waiting to watch the sparks fly.
Big favorites like Josh Everett, Chris Spealler, and Mr. Gillian got cut after the first day.
The fallout will be interesting.

If that's the way you swing, you'd probably get plebty of action at GDG!'s weekly parkour roundup.

You have no chance to survive make your time.

How long until you think people start making bets on Gaymes competitors?
Re: The couch thread
There might also be some tension erupting about the way the games were scored. Since there were so many people on the first day, someone ranking poorly in one of the first events got his score absolutely ruined. By the last day, with 16 people, even getting last place was no way near as bad.

Does anyone know why the CrossFit board URL's now have stuff like "s=ad7a15b788d673f305596695c864f585" in them? I'm figuring it's some sort of session ID... but why would they bother to track that?Given the information from whoever MB is on the CF games comments section.. they had the idea of re-ranking the final 16 to each other. the list looked like this before starting Sundays events (i never checked for the accuracy of this information):
(number of points)
(30) Mikko Salo
(33) Tommy Hackenbruck
(35) Jason Khalipa
(35) Moe Kelsey
(38) Peter Egyed
(39) DJ Wickham
(39) Spencer Hendel
(40) Sveinbjorn Sveinbjornsson
(43) Blair Morrison
(43) Steve Willis
(44) James FitzGerald
(44) Jeff Leonard
(48) Patrick Burke
(47) Michael FitzGerald
(49) David Millar
(52) Jeremy Thiel
well after today's events.. had they chosen this scoring method which would have equalized the scoring of each WOD it would have resulted in this (FINAL):
(41) Jason Khalipa
(44) Mikko Salo
(58) DJ Wickham
(58) Tommy Hackenbruck
(59) Blair Morrison
(62) Moe Kelsey
(63) Steve Willis
(65) Patrick Burke
(69) Spencer Hendel
(71) Peter Egyed
(74) Michael FitzGerald
(77) David Millar
I am not a Khalipa fan as someone accused me of being on the comments section on the games site (I was rooting for Leonard and Speal.)... I am just a fan of fair scoring..
